After her son passed away, Mairéad was grateful for the grief and bereavement counselling she received from the Hospice Georgian Triangle Community Support Team.

During the pandemic lockdown she joined an online art class to help her feel connected.

On Wednesday, July 13th Mairéad hosted an art show for friends and asked them to consider donating to Hospice Georgian Triangle.

“I am truly grateful for the care I received from the Community Support team, and I wanted to find a way to give back. I know that it is only because of donations that they are able to provide this care. I decided to host my own fundraiser to help ensure this support continues and is available to anyone who might benefit from grief and bereavement counseling. This is why I encouraged everyone to support,” said Mairéad.

Mairéad raised $785.00 for Hospice Georgian Triangle, and we are grateful the support from her and her friends.

If you have an idea for a fundraiser, we would love to hear about it. Contact Linda at 705 444 2555 ext. 7536 to become a Compassion in Action supporter like Mairéad.
