Jim Chapman on why he volunteers:

“Special Place”   “Special People”

These four words are my attempt to describe Hospice Georgian Triangle, Campbell House.

I have been asked on several occasions how could it be a special place with all the sadness that families experience saying goodbye to their loved one.  My answer is always “because of the people who make it so”  The Campbell House staff, clinical staff, PSW’s and all of the many wonderful, caring volunteers.

I personally discovered this three years ago when my Mom was in Campbell House for 5 weeks.  My daily visits led me to see what a unique “house” this truly is.  Everyone couldn’t do enough for my Mom in her final days.  They all were so kind to all of my family as well.

This is why I chose to volunteer and be part of this exceptional team as Front Desk Receptionist. It has been a very rewarding experience to support and be a part of this.” Hence:

“Special Place”   “Special People”
