The butterfly sanctuary serves as a tranquil and lasting tribute to honour the lives of loved ones.

This outdoor wall features an installation of aluminum butterflies, each engraved with the names of those whose memory continues to live on within the hearts of family, friends, and the hospice community.

Butterfly Sanctuary

Butterflies - Each butterfly is crafted from aluminum and engraved with the name of a loved one. The design symbolizes the spirit of those who have passed on.

Arrangement - The design is a flowing organic pattern that suggests movement, life and collectively creates the vision of a flight of butterflies.

Duration - Each butterfly is available for a one-time, direct donation, securing the plaque in perpetuity. Butterflies will be replaced due to environmental wear and tear if required.

How To Participate

Memorial contribution

An engraved butterfly is purchased with a three-tiered donation system.

Butterflies are available at three levels of support:

Gold 5” butterfly $ 5,000

Silver 4” butterfly $ 2,500

White 3” butterfly $ 1,000

Engravement process

Provide the name of your loved one to be engraved on the butterfly, providing a meaningful way to remember and honour their legacy. Engraving is seasonal, at the beginning of March, June, September and December.

Placement and ceremony

A special group placement ceremony will be held when new butterflies are added to the wall, allowing families to come together in remembrance.

The wall is located in the Robert C. and Ricki Thompson Sanctuary Garden at Campbell House and is designed to be a serene place offering visitors a quiet place for contemplation in natural surroundings.
