“Our first Mayor’s Charity RAM Rodeo was an incredible success thanks to the amazing support from our community and sponsors,” said Mayor Brian Smith. “This is the most we have ever raised, and every dollar is going to help strengthen healthcare in our region – from a new regional hospital that will serve Wasaga Beach residents for generations to come, to hospice programs that provide comfort and dignity to families when it matters most.”

WASAGA BEACH – The First Annual Mayor’s Charity RAM Rodeo and Hootenanny Fall Festival has raised more than $55,000 in support of local health care charities during its inaugural weekend, held October 4-5, 2025 at the Wasaga Sports Park.

Proceeds from the event will benefit two local organizations dedicated to strengthening health care across South Georgian Bay:

The two-day rodeo welcomed more than 3,000 visitors for a weekend packed with excitement – from professional rodeo performances and line-dancing lessons to an intimate concert with Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAO) Brian John Harwood at the Mayor’s Two Step Social.

Guests also enjoyed food trucks, local artisans, and free family-friendly fun as part of the Hootenanny Fall Festival.

Planning is already underway for the 2026 Mayor’s Charity RAM Rodeo, which will present even more entertainment, community spirit, and opportunities to give back.

Quick Facts:

  • The Mayor’s Charity RAM Rodeo replaced the former annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament. It has set a new record by raising more funds than any previous Town-organized charity event.
