Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Collingwood Curling Club
May 14, 2025 – COLLINGWOOD – Ready for a spring challenge? Sign up and start fundraising for the Hike & Bike for Hospice Georgian Triangle! The Hike & Bike takes place on Sunday, May 25, starting at 9:00 am at the Collingwood Curling Club. Participants can hike 6 km, bike 6 km, or bike 20 km on the beautiful trails of Collingwood. This year’s goal is to raise $175,000.
Registration for the Hike & Bike is $35 per participant. Once registered, individuals and teams can begin to fundraise. Participants will receive lunch and a Hike & Bike t-shirt while supplies last.
Hospice Georgian Triangle provides compassionate care to those living with a life-limiting illness, respite care, pain and symptom management, as well as grief and bereavement support to the families and friends, caregivers and anyone impacted by a diagnosis or loss.
“This event is an annual highlight for Hospice Georgian Triangle,” said Kelly O’Neil, Public Relations and Communications Manager. “Last year, the team at Campbell House supported more than 300 patients and their families and more than 1,900 in the community. We are deeply grateful for the community’s continued generosity, which enables us to provide compassionate care when it’s needed most. Your participation truly makes a difference.”
Participants can hike 6 km and bike 6 km or 20 km. The event kicks off at the Collingwood Curling Club with a sendoff from the Beinn Gorm Highlanders and travels through the Collingwood trails and along the shore of Georgian Bay. At the finish line there will be music and entertainment provided by 95.1 The PeakFM and DJ Nation. Vintage cars from the Wasaga Beach Cruisers on display.
Lunch is included with registration, thanks to generous donations from Boston Pizza, M&M Food Market, Sanfilippo Wholesale, Cobs Bread, Loblaws, Sobeys, Burger Bob, Collingwood Fuels Ltd, Loblaws, Ice River Sustainable Solutions, and Tim Hortons Collingwood.
This signature event has a fundraising goal of $175,000. Participation in the Hike & Bike means that patients and their families have access to hospice palliative care services free of charge.
